Team Aqua appears in Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald and their remakes, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Led by Archie, with Matt and Shelly as his Admins, it wants to wake the legendary Kyogre and add more water to the world. The originals present that as better for people and Pokémon alike; Alpha Sapphire darkens the motive into wiping out human civilization so Pokémon can live untouched by it. Grunts lean on Poochyena, Zubat and Water types such as Carvanha.
Its opposite number is Team Magma, which wants more land through Groudon. In Emerald both teams wake their legendaries, and once Kyogre and Groudon clash Archie and Maxie realize the disaster they have caused and make peace after Rayquaza settles it.
In Pokémon the Series: Ruby and Sapphire, Team Aqua first turns up in Stairway to Devon, where a Grunt steals what he thinks is a valuable "Creation Fluid" from the Devon Corporation; it turns out to be plain water. The team recurs through the Hoenn journey, and its biggest appearance comes in Gaining Groudon and The Scuffle of Legends, where its schemes with Team Magma set Kyogre and Groudon against each other.
Team Aqua's cards come from two English sets. EX Team Magma vs Team Aqua (March 2004) introduced Team Aqua's Pokémon, and gave the team's evolved Pokémon a second type, Darkness, alongside their usual one; the EX Team Rocket Returns set later reused the idea for Team Rocket. The set's Team Aqua holos are Team Aqua's Cacturne, Crawdaunt, Kyogre, Manectric, Sharpedo and Walrein, and its roster also covers Mightyena, Sealeo, Seviper, Lanturn, Carvanha, Corphish, Electrike, Chinchou, Poochyena, Spheal and Cacnea.
Double Crisis (March 2015), a small special set built around the two teams, brought Team Aqua back with new cards, headed by the Ultra Rare Team Aqua's Kyogre EX, plus new versions of Sharpedo, Walrein, Muk and others and the Trainer cards Team Aqua's Great Ball (an Item) and Team Aqua's Secret Base (a Stadium).

To awaken Kyogre and expand the world's seas. In Alpha Sapphire the motive becomes returning the world to a state where Pokémon live free of human civilization.
No. They are rival teams with opposite goals, sea against land. In Emerald Archie and Maxie make peace only after Kyogre and Groudon's clash shows them the damage they have done.

Ranked by each card’s main print in near-mint raw condition. 1st Edition, Shadowless and other versions are priced on each card’s page. The table updates live.
The most valuable Team Aqua cards come from two eras only, with the EX era supplying most of the leaders and the XY era supplying the one at the top. Team Aqua's Kyogre EX from Double Crisis in 2015 leads the ranking. All 43 Team Aqua cards carry a market value, spanning 2004 to 2015, and the ten leading cards hold 96 percent of the total value, so Team Aqua card value rests almost entirely on a short list.
Team Aqua's Kyogre EX, an Ultra Rare from Double Crisis in 2015, leads Team Aqua card value by 1.2 times over the next card, so the gap is narrow. That runner-up is Team Aqua's Kyogre, a Holo Rare from Team Magma vs Team Aqua in 2004. Next come Team Aqua's Sharpedo and Team Aqua's Manectric, both Holo Rares from the same 2004 set. A holo is a card with a foil-treated image area, and it describes most of the leaders here.
Of the twenty-five leading Team Aqua cards, 17 come from the EX era and 8 from the XY era. The newest era's leader is Team Aqua's Kyogre EX from Double Crisis in 2015, which sits 1st overall. Every card in the top ten and the top twenty-five is modern, with none from vintage. Here vintage means the WOTC era, and modern is every later era, so the most valuable Team Aqua cards all come from the EX and XY eras.
Among the ten leading Team Aqua cards, 7 are Holo Rares, 2 are Rares and 1 is an Ultra Rare. Widening to the leading twenty-five, 9 are Holo Rares, 6 are Commons, 5 are Rares, 4 are Uncommons and 1 is an Ultra Rare. Team Aqua cards at the top are mostly Holo Rares from Team Magma vs Team Aqua, with Double Crisis supplying the Ultra Rare Kyogre EX and a Holo Rare Sharpedo.
Among characters with priced cards, Team Aqua ranks 3rd of 110 by the value of its single leading card. By the combined value of its ten leaders it ranks 2nd of 24. The pairing says the Team Aqua cards market is built on depth at the top as well as on one standout, with the ten leading cards carrying nearly all the value.
