Poochyena

Poochyena on cards: Ruby & Sapphire and the Team Aqua and Magma versions

Poochyena's first cards came in the Ruby & Sapphire base set in July 2003, two Commons illustrated by Ken Sugimori and Atsuko Nishida. Team Magma vs Team Aqua (2004) then printed villain-team versions, two Team Aqua's Poochyena and two Team Magma's Poochyena, all illustrated by Shin-ichi Yoshikawa.

Double Crisis (2015), the XY era special expansion built around the same two teams, repeated the idea with a Team Aqua's Poochyena by Kouki Saitou and a Team Magma's Poochyena by TOKIYA.

Poochyena's rarer moments: Galarian Gallery and beyond

Almost every Poochyena card is a Common. The exception is Crown Zenith's Galarian Gallery (2023), where Kouki Saitou's Poochyena is printed as a Rare in the set's illustrated subset. In the Mega Evolution era, Ascended Heroes (2026) printed another Common, drawn by Miki Tanaka.
