Shining Tyranitar, Shining Charizard and Shining Mewtwo are the headline cards of Neo Destiny, the English-language Pokémon TCG expansion released on February 28, 2002 as set code N4 in the Neo series of the WOTC era. It carries 105 official cards plus 8 secret cards, for 113 printings in all. The set is defined by its Shining Pokémon and its Dark and Light versions of familiar names, and it draws mainly on Psychic, Water, Colorless and Grass types.
Neo Destiny has three rarity tiers, Common, Uncommon and Rare, and the Rare tier is where its 24 chase-tier cards sit, with the 8 secret cards numbered above the printed 105. Shining Tyranitar leads, illustrated by Ken Sugimori, followed by Shining Charizard, Shining Mewtwo and Dark Gengar, with Hironobu Yoshida credited on the Charizard and Mewtwo. The top five cards alone hold 65 percent of the set's total card value, so the most valuable cards define the whole set.
As of October 2026, Neo Destiny holds the 2nd highest total card value of the 16 comparable WOTC sets, about 5.2 times the era median, and its Shining Tyranitar ranks 2nd among the era's most valuable single cards. Trading activity places it 9th in the era, and across all 130 comparable sets in the game its total value ranks 3rd. At 105 printed cards it sits about level with the era median of 108. It followed Neo Revelation, which holds less total value, and came before Legendary Collection, which also holds less. Its cards first appeared in the Japanese set Darkness, and to Light..., released April 20, 2001, which shares 100 cards with it.

A full Neo Destiny run is 113 printings, and all 113 are priced, so there are no blind spots when tracking progress. Because the top five cards hold 65 percent of total card value, the cost of a complete set is driven by the Shining and Dark Rares at the top rather than the long tail of commons and uncommons. The set also has 6 sealed products listed, spanning booster boxes, booster packs and decks.
