Sylveon

Sylveon in the anime: Serena's performing partner

Serena's Eevee evolved into Sylveon in the XY series episode "Party Dancecapades!" During a Tag Battle alongside Ash's Pikachu, Eevee wrapped a ribbon-like feeler around Serena's arm, evolved, and won the battle with a newly learned Fairy Wind. Sylveon went on to perform with Serena in Pokémon Showcases, including the Master Class in Gloire.

Sylveon on cards: XY promo to a Prismatic Evolutions special illustration rare

Sylveon's first English card was the XY Black Star Promo XY04, illustrated by 5ban Graphics, who has drawn more Sylveon cards than any other artist. Generations (2016) gave it Sylveon-EX, including a full art by Kanako Eo in the Radiant Collection subset, and Guardians Rising (2017) introduced Sylveon-GX, topped by a rainbow Secret Rare.

Unbroken Bonds (2019) paired it with Gardevoir in a Tag Team GX, including an alternate art by Atsuko Nishida and a Secret Rare, and Hidden Fates' Shiny Vault printed Sylveon-GX in shiny colors that same year. Evolving Skies (2021) brought Sylveon V and Sylveon VMAX, with an alternate-art VMAX by Ryota Murayama, and Prismatic Evolutions (2025) gave Sylveon ex a special illustration rare by Cona Nitanda.

Why collectors care about Sylveon

Sylveon has had a premium printing in every card era since XY: EX, GX, Tag Team GX, V, VMAX and ex. It also shows up in the Eevee-focused sets, Evolving Skies and Prismatic Evolutions, which makes it a fixture of Eeveelution collections as well as a line of its own.
