Hawlucha

Hawlucha's Mega Evolution

Hawlucha can Mega Evolve into Mega Hawlucha using the Hawluchanite, a Mega Stone introduced in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Mega Hawlucha is considerably bulkier, with a black, gold-marked face resembling a luchador mask, longer head feathers, and more plumage around its neck and legs. It was revealed in the short video FULL MATCH: Hawlucha vs. Machamp!, released August 28, 2025, and was the first Mega Evolution revealed for a non-Mythical Generation VI Pokémon.

Hawlucha in the anime

Hawlucha debuted in The Forest Champion! as the reigning champion of a forest. Ash challenged it to a battle with the condition that Hawlucha would join his team if he won; though Hawlucha did not lose, it chose to join Ash's team anyway. Bea's Hawlucha beat Ash's Farfetch'd in their World Coronation Series battle in Solitary and Menacing!, and returned for Ash's third battle with Bea in Battle Three With Bea! and A Battle of Mega Versus Max!.
