Eevee is a Normal type introduced in Generation 1, and its defining trait is how it evolves rather than how it battles. Its line branches into eight different Pokémon, the Eeveelutions: Vaporeon, Jolteon and Flareon come from the Water, Thunder and Fire Stones; Espeon and Umbreon come from leveling up with high friendship by day or by night; Sylveon comes from leveling up with a strong bond while knowing a Fairy-type move; and Leafeon and Glaceon come from leveling up near a Moss Rock or Ice Rock in some games, or from a Leaf Stone or Ice Stone in others. None of the eight evolves any further.
Eevee stands 0.3 meters tall and weighs 6.5 kilograms. Its abilities are Run Away, which lets it flee wild encounters, and Adaptability, which strengthens moves that share its own type, with Anticipation as its hidden ability.
Eevee made its anime debut in "The Battling Eevee Brothers," as the partner of Mikey, the youngest of four brothers. His three older brothers each battled with one of the original Eeveelutions (Vaporeon, Jolteon and Flareon) and pressed him to evolve his Eevee, so Mikey hid it for the day to avoid the choice. When Team Rocket stole it and then overwhelmed the brothers' evolved Pokémon, Mikey's still-unevolved Eevee won his first battle by sending Team Rocket flying, and his brothers accepted his wish to keep it as it was.
Eevee's first English card appeared in Jungle in 1999, and our catalog lists 88 Eevee printings across 54 sets. Most are plain Commons, which fits a Basic Pokémon reprinted in nearly every era, but Eevee has also picked up genuine chase cards: Team Up's 2019 Eevee & Snorlax GX Tag Team card, printed as both a full art Ultra Rare and a Secret Rare, and a shiny Eevee in Hidden Fates' Shiny Vault the same year.
More recently, Twilight Masquerade (2024) gave Eevee an Illustration Rare by Narumi Sato, and Prismatic Evolutions (2025) printed both a standard Common Eevee and a special illustration rare Eevee ex illustrated by tono. Kagemaru Himeno, who drew the Jungle original, is credited on six Eevee cards, more than any other artist, with Kouki Saitou and Atsuko Nishida close behind.
Because Eevee's line covers eight separate evolutions, its cards double as an entry point into all eight Eeveelutions at once, and its own printings range from ordinary Commons to a Tag Team GX, a Shiny Vault card, an Illustration Rare and a special illustration rare ex, all inside a single, uncomplicated Basic Pokémon.

Our catalog lists 88 Eevee printings across 54 sets as of 2026-09-26.
Yes. Team Up (2019) printed Eevee & Snorlax GX as both an Ultra Rare and a Secret Rare.

The value behind Eevee cards is concentrated: the ten leading cards hold 72 percent of the total, so a short list sets the market. The most valuable Eevee card is the Common from BW Black Star Promos, 2011, ahead of an Eevee & Snorlax GX Secret Rare from Team Up, 2019. All 88 Eevee cards carry a market value, spanning 1999 to 2025. Eevee card value leans on promos and Sun & Moon era cards more than on any single vintage print.
The BW Black Star Promos Eevee from 2011 leads the most valuable Eevee cards by 2 times over the next card. That runner-up is the Team Up Secret Rare Eevee & Snorlax GX from 2019, followed by the Ultra Rare version from the same set. Fourth is the Eevee & Snorlax GX Promo from SM Black Star Promos, 2017. Fifth is Eevee ex from Prismatic Evolutions, 2025, a special illustration rare, a full-art style rarity with its own artwork. Two of the top Eevee cards are Commons.
Sun & Moon supplies 12 of the twenty-five leading Eevee cards, far more than any other era. WOTC, Black & White and Sword & Shield each place three, Scarlet & Violet two, and EX and XY one apiece. The newest era's leader is Eevee ex from Prismatic Evolutions, 2025, 5th overall. Vintage here means the WOTC era, and every other era counts as modern. All ten of the leading Eevee cards are modern, none vintage, and the top twenty-five splits 22 modern to 3 vintage.
Among the ten leading Eevee cards the printed rarities are two Commons, two Promos, two Ultra Rares, one Secret Rare and one Special illustration rare. Widening to the leading twenty-five, Commons and Promos each make up 6 cards, with 3 Ultra Rares. The rest is a mix: one each of Holo Rare, Illustration rare, Secret Rare, Shiny rare, Special illustration rare and Uncommon. Promo and Common prints take a large share of the Eevee cards that carry the most value.
Eevee ranks 49th of 1020 species with priced cards by the value of its single leading card, and 50th of 753 by the combined value of its ten leaders. Within the evolution line, Umbreon ranks 2nd of 1020 by top card, Espeon 19th, Jolteon 20th and Flareon 21st. So the Eevee card market is built on a spread of promos and multi-Pokémon GX cards rather than one dominant print, and sits well behind Umbreon at the top.
