Wingull is the Seagull Pokémon, a small white gull with two tufts on its head and long, blue-striped wings. Its hollow bones keep it light enough to fly, and it rides updrafts on outstretched wings. It nests on seaside cliffs and tucks away prey and valuables with its beak, especially in winter.
Wingull evolves into Pelipper at level 25, and shares identical base stats with Taillow aside from swapped Attack and Special Attack.
Mr. Briney's Wingull, nicknamed Peeko, first appeared in On a Wingull and a Prayer, often seen outside her Poke Ball with a close bond to her trainer, the only human she truly trusts. Juan's two Wingull were part of the Sootopolis City Water Exhibit in The Great Eight Fate.
Wingull's earliest card is the 2003 Ruby and Sapphire Common illustrated by Kouki Saitou, followed by the Sandstorm Common by Kagemaru Himeno. Arceus carried two Commons by Kyoko Umemoto and Naoyo Kimura.
Paldean Fates added a Shiny rare by kurumitsu, and the 2025 Journey Together set carried a Common by Mekayu.
