Sneasel

Sneasel in the games: a Johto egg thief with a Hisuian twin

Sneasel is a Dark and Ice type introduced in Generation II. It stands 0.9 meters tall and weighs 28.0 kilograms, and uses its hooked claws to climb trees and steal eggs from unguarded nests. Its standard abilities are Inner Focus, which prevents flinching, and Keen Eye, which stops its accuracy from being lowered; its hidden ability, Pickpocket, steals the held item of an attacker that makes contact.

Leveling up at night while holding a Razor Claw evolves it into Weavile. Pokémon Legends: Arceus added Hisuian Sneasel, a Fighting and Poison regional form that evolves into Sneasler instead when leveled up during the day with the same item.

Sneasel in the anime: Harrison's Silver Conference battler

Sneasel made its anime series debut in Pop Goes The Sneasel, where one blocked access to the Flame of Ho-Oh; Harrison caught it and later used it against Ash at the Silver Conference, where it beat Pikachu and then lost to Totodile. In the film Celebi: The Voice of the Forest, the Iron-Masked Marauder used a Sneasel alongside his Scizor to go after Celebi. In the Diamond and Pearl series, Candice sent one out against Ash's Grotle in her Snowpoint Gym battle, and it lost.
