Kricketune evolves from Kricketot at level 10. It makes music by rubbing its arms together, and it can let its cry echo inside its belly; each one's melodies differ a great deal from the next. Since Generation VII, Kricketune has held the lowest base stat total of any fully evolved Pokémon calculated through the traditional formula, excluding Shedinja, whose low total stems from its unique base HP of 1.
Kricketune appears in Pokémon Adventures.
Kricketune debuted in Mysterious Treasures as a Rare illustrated by Mitsuhiro Arita, followed by Platinum and Triumphant. Next Destinies continued its run into the Black and White era, then BREAKpoint and Cosmic Eclipse carried it through XY and Sun and Moon. Battle Styles gave it a V and Ultra Rare V pair illustrated by Satoshi Shirai, and Astral Radiance, the Silver Tempest Trainer Gallery, and the Crown Zenith Galarian Gallery followed in the rest of the Sword and Shield era.
