Kricketot talks to others of its kind with a xylophone-like sound made by shaking its head so its antennae rub together, and more of them gather on autumn nights. Its short legs sometimes make it stumble, and females have a bigger collar than males. It is the only Pokémon with a base stat total of 194. Its body works as a living musical instrument, with an abdomen resembling a stringed instrument such as a violin or lyre. It evolves into Kricketune at level 10, the lowest level of any two-stage evolutionary line.
In Last Call - First Round!, Nando used a Kricketot during the Performance Stage of the Sinnoh Grand Festival, performing alongside an Altaria to help him advance to the Contest Battles.
