Houndstone evolves from Greavard starting at level 30 when leveled up at night. It is considered the most loyal of all dog Pokémon, closely tied to mourning, with its tombstone-like head protrusion and floating limbs marking its skeletal design, spending much time buried in graveyards with only its stone-like protrusion visible above ground.
Houndstone debuted in Wattrel's High Wind Warning! under Ryme's ownership, and Ryme used it again in her battle against Roy in Resonating Spirits in a Challenge to Ryme!.
