Gliscor is the Fang Scorpion Pokémon, a large blue-purple vampire bat-like Ground and Flying type partially clad in an insect-like carapace, with a tail bearing two barbs resembling fangs. It evolves from Gligar when leveled up at night while holding a Razor Fang, and it feeds on the blood of other Pokémon, grabbing prey with its tail before biting.
Despite nearly doubling in size during evolution, from 3'07" to 6'07", Gliscor is actually lighter than Gligar, weighing 93.7 pounds compared to Gligar's 142.9.
Gliscor parallels Weavile as a same-generation, same-stat-total dual type with a double weakness, evolving at night from a Generation II Pokémon using an item containing the word razor, Gligar with Razor Fang and Sneasel with Razor Claw. Like Electivire, Magmortar and Tangrowth, Gliscor needed a Generation III game to obtain until Pokémon Platinum, because Gligar was only available through dual-slot mode with Pokémon Emerald.
Gliscor appears to be based on a combination of scorpions and vampires, which share traits with bats, and its chimeric, Ground-typed design may also draw on the gargoyle and the vampiric yōkai nobusuma.
Gliscor's first set cards came in 2008 Legends Awakened: a Rare Holo LV.X by Ryo Ueda, a Rare Holo by Kent Kanetsuna and an Uncommon by Ken Sugimori. Kagemaru Himeno drew both its DP Black Star Promo and the Rising Rivals Gliscor E4. It has appeared mostly as a Rare or Uncommon since, across Undaunted, Boundaries Crossed, Phantom Forces and Roaring Skies.
More recent printings continued in Guardians Rising, Fusion Strike, Lost Origin and Paradox Rift, with the Mega Evolution era's Phantasmal Flames set adding an Uncommon Gliscor illustrated by Dsuke.
