Exeggcute

Exeggcute on cards: a Jungle Common to a Surging Sparks illustration rare

Exeggcute's first card is Jungle #52 from June 1999, a Common illustrated by Mitsuhiro Arita. Gym Heroes gave it two Erika's Exeggcute cards, an Uncommon by Atsuko Nishida and a Common by Ken Sugimori, tying it to the Celadon City Gym Leader. Neo Destiny, Aquapolis (twice) and FireRed & LeafGreen kept it in print through 2004.

The Black & White era produced its most unusual printing: Plasma Blast #102, a Secret Rare numbered past the 101-card set, illustrated by 5ban Graphics. Exeggcute also has an SM Black Star Promo, and Surging Sparks (2024) gave it an Illustration rare by Yuriko Akase.

Collecting Exeggcute

Most Exeggcute cards are Commons, so the Plasma Blast Secret Rare and the Surging Sparks Illustration rare carry its collecting interest, with the two Erika's Exeggcute cards appealing to Gym-series collectors. As the base of both the Kanto and Alolan Exeggutor lines, it also belongs in any full evolution run.
