Cascoon hides underneath large leaves and in tree branch gaps, camouflaging itself with dead leaves, and never forgets pain it endures, seeking revenge upon evolution into Dustox at level 10. Its thin but strong silk is said to have better luster and texture than Silcoon's and is used for high-quality clothing. Cascoon is the only Pokémon found in a Friend Safari that is not its own type, appearing in the Poison-type Safari despite being pure Bug.
Jessie's Wurmple evolved into a Cascoon in A Corphish out of Water, marking the species debut, though Jessie mistakenly thought it was a Silcoon before it later evolved into Dustox. In Best Friend...Worst Nightmare!, Goh's three Wurmple all evolved into Cascoon, later becoming Dustox in Panic in the Park!.
Cascoon's first card was an Uncommon in Ruby & Sapphire illustrated by Midori Harada, followed by further Uncommons through Legend Maker, Diamond & Pearl, Platinum, and Dragons Exalted. Lost Origin brought an Uncommon by GOSSAN, and the Mega Evolution era added a Common in Ascended Heroes illustrated by Dsuke.

Ranked by each card’s main print in near-mint raw condition. 1st Edition, Shadowless and other versions are priced on each card’s page. The table updates live.
The value of Cascoon cards is spread thinly across a small set of prints. The most valuable Cascoon card is the Ruby & Sapphire Uncommon from 2003, and all 9 of the 9 Cascoon cards carry a market value, with prints running from 2003 to 2026. The leader sits 2.1 times ahead of the next card, so the top of the Cascoon card value ranking has a clear first place and a flatter field behind it.
Ruby & Sapphire (2003) leads the most valuable Cascoon cards, and it is 2.1 times ahead of the next card, the Legend Maker Uncommon from 2006. The Platinum Uncommon from 2009 takes 3rd, followed by the Diamond & Pearl Uncommon from 2007 in 4th. All four are Uncommon prints from the EX and Diamond & Pearl eras, so Cascoon card value at the top rests on early modern sets and their print years.
Every one of the Cascoon cards in the top ten is modern, and the WOTC era that vintage refers to is not represented. The EX era and the Diamond & Pearl era each place two cards, while Black & White, XY, Sun & Moon, Sword & Shield and Mega Evolution place one apiece. The newest era's leader is the Ascended Heroes Common from 2026, sitting 7th overall among the most valuable Cascoon cards.
The leading Cascoon cards are printed at the two lowest rarities on the list. Seven of the ten leaders are Uncommon and two are Common, which accounts for every Cascoon card in the ranking. Widening to the leading twenty-five gives the same count, seven Uncommon and two Common, so Cascoon card value comes entirely from standard Uncommon and Common prints across sets such as Ruby & Sapphire, Platinum and Lost Thunder.
By the value of its single leading card, Cascoon ranks 903rd of 1020 species with priced cards. Its line ranks differently by the same measure: Wurmple is 78th, Dustox 198th, Beautifly 477th and Silcoon 943rd. Cascoon's market is built from ordinary Uncommon and Common prints, and its best card places it in the lower part of the species rankings.
