Holon exists only in the Pokémon Trading Card Game. It is a research village inside Mirage Forest, the setting of the EX Delta Species expansion (2005), built by scientists to study a "power spot" said to have healing properties. It never appears in the core video games, and no Trainer, Gym Leader or rival carries the name. Cards named "Holon's" something use the same possessive pattern as a Trainer's Pokémon, but here the owner is the village itself.
At the center of the village stands the Holon Research Tower. According to the set's backstory, electromagnetic waves the scientists produced while trying to locate Mew changed the types of Pokémon living nearby. Fans often stretch the name Holon to cover the settings of every set from EX Delta Species through EX Dragon Frontiers, such as Holon Lake in EX Holon Phantoms, an unnamed crystal-covered island in EX Crystal Guardians and the islands of EX Dragon Frontiers.
Pokémon changed by the tower became δ Delta Species, printed with a type other than their usual one (Rayquaza δ, for example, is Lightning and Metal rather than Colorless). A δ card has a coiled pattern around its artwork border and a δ symbol in place of the usual evolution marker. Delta Species ran from EX Delta Species through EX Dragon Frontiers, with a few more on POP Series 4 and 5 and Japanese promos.
Holon's Pokémon are a separate discovery from the same research: Pokémon that can transform into Energy, so on cards they can be attached to another Pokémon as a Special Energy. None of them carry the δ mark. Studying both groups, the story's scientists created the synthetic Holon Energy cards FF, GL and WP.
Our catalog lists five Holon's cards. EX Delta Species (October 31, 2005) introduced four: Holon's Electrode (Rare, Hisao Nakamura), Holon's Magneton (Rare, Katsura Tabata), Holon's Magnemite (Common, also Tabata) and Holon's Voltorb (Common, Takao Unno). Magneton and Electrode are Stage 1 cards that evolve from the Holon's Magnemite and Holon's Voltorb printings. EX Holon Phantoms (May 3, 2006) added the last one, Holon's Castform, an Uncommon illustrated by Mitsuhiro Arita whose Delta Draw attack draws up to one card for each δ Pokémon its owner has in play.
The village's name also sits on many Trainer cards from the era, including the Supporters Holon Researcher, Holon Scientist, Holon Mentor and Holon Farmer and the Stadiums Holon Research Tower, Holon Ruins and Holon Lake. They depict Holon's people and places, but they are not Holon's Pokémon. For collectors, the five Holon's cards form a small, closed group from the EX-era Holon story, which ran from EX Delta Species to EX Dragon Frontiers.
A Rare Stage 1 from the set that introduced Holon, illustrated by Hisao Nakamura.
The other Rare in the Holon's line-up, a Metal-type Stage 1 illustrated by Katsura Tabata.
The Basic that Holon's Magneton evolves from, also illustrated by Katsura Tabata.
A Common Basic illustrated by Takao Unno, and the start of the Holon's Electrode line.
The final Holon's Pokémon, an Uncommon by Mitsuhiro Arita built to reward a δ-heavy deck.

Holon cards span just two years, 2005 and 2006, and all 5 of them carry a market value. The most valuable Holon card is Holon's Magneton, a Rare from Delta Species in 2005. With only five cards in the group, Holon card value rests on a short list, and the leader sits just ahead of the pack.
Holon's Magneton, a Rare from Delta Species in 2005, leads the most valuable Holon cards by 1.3 times over the next card, Holon's Castform, an Uncommon from Holon Phantoms in 2006. Holon's Electrode follows as another Rare from Delta Species, 2005. Holon's Magnemite and Holon's Voltorb, both Commons from Delta Species, complete the five. Four of the five Holon cards come from Delta Species, and all five belong to the EX era.
Among the 110 characters with priced cards, Holon ranks 80th by the value of its single leading card. That places Holon in the lower part of the field, and with just five cards, the Holon market is built on one Delta Species Rare with the remaining cards trailing it closely.

Holon is not a character. It is a research village invented for the Pokémon Trading Card Game, the setting of EX Delta Species (2005), whose tower gave rise to δ Delta Species. "Holon's" cards are the village's own Pokémon, able to double as Energy.
No published index yet — too few of Holon’s cards trade often enough to strike one.
