Tropius in the anime

Tropius made its animated series debut in From Brags to Riches under the ownership of Dominick, who used it alongside a Swalot in a Double Battle against Ash's Corphish and Torkoal at the Ever Grande Conference, ending when Tropius's Solar Beam and Torkoal's Overheat knocked both out in an explosion. In Odd Pokémon Out!, a Tropius living on Camomile Island challenged Ash's Grovyle for the affection of Nurse Joy's Meganium.

Tropius on cards

Tropius's first card came from 2004's Hidden Legends, illustrated by Kouki Saitou, followed by Deoxys' printing illustrated by Miki Tanaka. Dragon Frontiers added a delta species Tropius illustrated by Mitsuhiro Arita, and Paldea Evolved later gave Tropius both a Common and an illustration rare illustrated by Taira Akitsu and Jerky respectively. The 2026 Pitch Black set introduced a Common Tropius illustrated by Akino Fukuji, continuing the species into the Mega Evolution era.
