Tirtouga in the anime

Tirtouga made its animated debut in A Restoration Confrontation! Part 1, befriending Ferris after he was transported to the ancient past as a child. In the present, Ferris found the same Tirtouga as a Cover Fossil that Team Rocket stole and revived, and in the follow-up episode it evolved into Carracosta before returning to its own time. A separate Tirtouga owned by the Shell Sage raced Team Rocket's Chewtle in Eyes on the Goal!.

Tirtouga's cards by era

Tirtouga debuted as an Uncommon in Noble Victories from Naoyo Kimura, followed by another Uncommon in Plasma Blast from Midori Harada and a further Uncommon in Unified Minds. Stellar Crown added a Common, and Black Bolt closed the run with an Uncommon and an illustration rare from Akino Fukuji.
