Suicune is a pure Water type Legendary from Generation II. In Johto lore, three Pokémon died when the Brass Tower in Ecruteak City burned, and Ho-Oh revived them as Raikou, Entei and Suicune; Suicune stands for the rain that put the fire out. It stands 2.0 meters tall, weighs 187.0 kilograms and does not evolve. Its ability is Pressure, which makes opponents spend extra PP, and its hidden ability is Inner Focus.
In Gold and Silver, Suicune roams Johto like the other two beasts. Crystal made it the game's mascot and its story centerpiece: it appears and bounds away at several points before a set battle in Tin Tower, while Eusine, a researcher who has chased it for years, follows its trail.
Suicune debuted in Don't Touch That 'dile, a silhouette on a lake that vanished into the fog when Ash tried to battle it. The same Suicune returned in For Ho-Oh the Bells Toll!, calming a swarm in Ecruteak City and brushing off Eusine's Alakazam, which set Eusine on his pursuit of it.
It also appears in Celebi: The Voice of the Forest, purifying the Lake of Life, and a Shiny Suicune appears with its trio in Zoroark: Master of Illusions. In Pokémon Journeys, Goh caught a Suicune in Healing the Healer! to protect it from Pokémon hunters, and it chose to stay his while roaming free.
