Sobble

Sobble in the anime

Sobble debuted in Toughing It Out!, observing Ash and Goh's training, before Goh caught it in Sobbing Sobble! and it joined his team. It evolved into Drizzile in Not Too Close for Comfort!, which later evolved into Inteleon in Detective Drizzile!.

Sobble's origins and cards

Sobble appears to be based on the veiled chameleon, whose males share its colors; the way that lizard funnels water droplets into its mouth may explain Sobble's tear-like face patches, its crying, and its Water typing; its crest and typing may also loosely relate to basilisk lizards. Sobble has two SWSH Black Star promos, and Sword & Shield gave it two Commons by Megumi Mizutani and Hitoshi Ariga. It later appeared in a Pokémon Futsal promo, a McDonald's Collection promo, Shining Fates' Shiny Vault as a Shiny rare, and Chilling Reign, before the Mega Evolution era added an MEP promo and a Common in the Mega Evolution set.
