Roselia's unusual traits

Bulbapedia notes Roselia is the only Pokémon to receive both a pre-evolution and an evolution in the same generation outside of its debut generation, and that Roselia and its evolved form are the only Poison-type Pokémon in the Fairy Egg Group. In 2007, Nintendo of America employees offered a Heracross on the Global Trade Station in exchange for a Japanese Roselia, and Roselia is one of fourteen Pokémon that can have foreign Pokédex entries collected in Diamond and Pearl.

Roselia's first card is a 2003 Dragon Holo Rare illustrated by Atsuko Nishida, followed by Kagemaru Himeno's Legend Maker Uncommon. Diamond & Pearl printed Roselia across four sets, with art from Ken Sugimori, Kouki Saitou, Sumiyoshi Kizuki, and Hajime Kusajima, and the HeartGold & SoulSilver era added Takashi Yamaguchi's Unleashed Common. Dragons Exalted carried two Roselia printings by Suwama Chiaki and Shin Nagasawa, kirisAki illustrated a Flashfire Common, and Kyoko Umemoto contributed an Ultra Prism card. The Sword & Shield era produced two Roselia Commons plus Yukiko Baba's Lost Origin printing, and the line reached the Scarlet & Violet era with Tomomi Ozaki's Temporal Forces card and 2025's Destined Rivals, which depicts Cynthia's Roselia, a Common illustrated by nisimono.
