Dusknoir evolves from Dusclops when traded while holding a Reaper Cloth, and is the final form of Duskull; in Pokémon Legends: Arceus it evolves instead when exposed to a Reaper Cloth. It floats on a wispy tail instead of feet, the markings on its front and back look like extra pairs of eyes, and six flat projections ring its neck like an upturned collar.
In the animated special Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky - Beyond Time & Darkness, Primal Dialga sends Dusknoir back into the past to stop Team Poképals from changing history. In the animated series, Dusknoir appeared in Ghoul Daze! trying to protect people from a ghost girl, only to be blamed for the trouble she caused. Conway's Dusknoir used Trick Room to defeat Noctowl and Donphan at the Lily of the Valley Conference before losing to Gible's Draco Meteor and Dragon Pulse combination, and Farrell and Hamber also owned one in later series entries, with Hamber even Terastallizing his into a Ghost type.
Dusknoir's cyclopean eye and hollow, round body echo the Chochin-obake yokai, while its role guiding lost spirits parallels psychopomps like the Grim Reaper, and its belly mouth is styled like a jack-o'-lantern. Its first set card is the 2007 Diamond & Pearl Rare Holo by Takabon, and Stormfront added a LV.X by Shizurow. Recent Scarlet & Violet prints include a Shrouded Fable illustration rare by James Turner, and Prismatic Evolutions and Shrouded Fable base cards both illustrated by danciao.

Ranked by each card’s main print in near-mint raw condition. 1st Edition, Shadowless and other versions are priced on each card’s page. The table updates live.
Value among Dusknoir cards is packed into very few hands: the ten leading cards hold 99 percent of the total market value. The most valuable Dusknoir card is the Secret Rare from Plasma Blast, released in 2013. All 18 Dusknoir cards carry a market value, and they span the years 2007 to 2025. The leaders come from several eras rather than one, so Dusknoir card value is set by a short list of prints and not by the whole run of cards.
The Plasma Blast Secret Rare from 2013 leads Dusknoir card value by 2.2 times over the next card, the Rare Holo LV.X from Stormfront in 2008. Third is Trevenant & Dusknoir GX, a promo from the SM Black Star Promos set in 2017. Fourth is the Illustration rare from Shrouded Fable in 2024, a full-art style card built around the artwork. A holo has a shiny foil finish on the artwork, and the LV.X is a Level-Up card printed as a holo.
The 25 leading Dusknoir cards are led by Diamond & Pearl with 6, then Sun & Moon and Sword & Shield and Scarlet & Violet with 3 each, and Black & White with 2. The newest era's leader is the Shrouded Fable Illustration rare from 2024, which sits 4th overall. Vintage here means the WOTC era, and no vintage card appears: all 10 of the top ten and 18 of the top 25 are modern.
Among the ten most valuable Dusknoir cards, the printed rarities are Holo Rare and Rare Holo with 2 cards each, plus one each of Common, Illustration rare, Promo, Rare, Rare Holo LV.X and Secret Rare. Widening to the top 25, Holo Rare is the largest group with 9 cards, followed by Rare and Rare Holo with 2 each. Singles remain for Common, Illustration rare, Promo, Rare Holo LV.X and Secret Rare.
By the value of its single leading card, Dusknoir ranks 175th of 1020 species with priced cards, and 164th of 753 by the combined value of its ten leaders. In its evolution line, Dusclops ranks 200th and Duskull 219th by top card. Dusknoir cards therefore sit in the middle of the field, and the species' own market runs well ahead of the two cards that evolve into it.
