Zebstrika is the Thunderbolt Pokémon, a category it shares with Electivire. It fires lightning bolts from its spiked mane when angered, with the mane glowing yellow as a warning sign of the coming discharge.
It evolves from Blitzle starting at level 27 and does not evolve further. Its abilities of Lightning Rod, Motor Drive, and hidden Sap Sipper each grant immunity to a specific type, a trait it shares with Blitzle, and Zebstrika holds the unique base stat total of 497.
Zebstrika appeared in Reunion Battles In Nimbasa, evolved from Stephan's Blitzle, and went on to win a Club Battle tournament match against Bianca's Minccino before tying Ash's Palpitoad at the Vertress Conference in Strong Strategy Steals the Show.
Gym Leader Elesa also owns a Zebstrika, which swept Bianca's Shelmet, Minccino, and Pignite in a Gym battle in Enter Elesa, Electrifying Gym Leader, then lost to Ash's Palpitoad in his Gym battle in Dazzling the Nimbasa Gym.
Zebstrika's earliest cards came from the 2011 Black and White set, printed as both an Uncommon by Kouki Saitou and a Rare by Masakazu Fukuda. Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated the Boundaries Crossed Rare the following year, and Hajime Kusajima handled the BREAKpoint Rare.
Vivid Voltage carried an Uncommon and Chilling Reign a Rare through the Sword and Shield era, while the Scarlet and Violet era added a Krgc-illustrated promo card and a Paradox Rift Uncommon, capped by a White Flare illustration rare from REND.

Zebstrika cards span the years 2011 to 2025, and the most valuable Zebstrika card is the Illustration rare from White Flare in 2025. All 15 of the Zebstrika cards carry a market value, and the ten leading cards hold 98 percent of the total, so Zebstrika card value sits almost entirely in the top of the ranking. The 2012 Holo Rare from Boundaries Crossed follows the leader, with the 2018 Lost Thunder Rare third.
The White Flare Illustration rare from 2025 leads Zebstrika card value by 10.9 times over the next card, a wide gap. That second card is the Holo Rare from Boundaries Crossed in 2012, a holo being a card with a foil-treated artwork window. Third is the Lost Thunder Rare from 2018, and fourth is the Rare from Black & White in 2011. An illustration rare is a modern rarity where the artwork extends across much of the card.
Of the twenty-five leading Zebstrika cards, five come from Black & White, five from Scarlet & Violet, two from Sun & Moon and two from Sword & Shield. The newest era's leader is the White Flare Illustration rare from 2025, which is also 1st overall. No vintage cards appear: all ten of the top ten and all fifteen of the top twenty-five are modern, where vintage means the WOTC era and modern is every later era.
Among the ten most valuable Zebstrika cards, six are Rares, with one each of Holo Rare, Illustration rare, Promo and Uncommon. Widening to the twenty-five leading cards, seven are Rares and four are Uncommons, with one each of Common, Holo Rare, Illustration rare and Promo. The Promo in the top ten is the SVP Black Star Promos card from 2023. These Zebstrika cards are led by standard Rares rather than special print types.
By the value of its single leading card, Zebstrika ranks 484th of 1020 species with priced cards. By the combined value of its ten leaders it ranks 518th of 753. In its evolution line, Blitzle ranks 699th of 1020 by top card. Zebstrika is therefore the stronger of the two, and its market is built on one leading card far ahead of a closely grouped field beneath it.
