Roggenrola evolves into Boldore at level 25, which later evolves into Gigalith when traded. Its steel-hard body is built from soil centuries old, and an energy core inside keeps it warm; it gets angry if anyone pokes a hand into the ear opening that leads to that core.
Roggenrola debuted in Gotta Catch A Roggenrola, where Ash and his friends saved fourteen Roggenrola from Team Rocket and Ash caught one by the episode's end; it later evolved into Boldore in Battling the King of the Mines. One of Viren's henchmen used a Roggenrola to intimidate Kiawe's family in The Young Flame Strikes Back, and Goh caught one in Trial on a Golden Scale.
Roggenrola's first cards appeared in Emerging Powers, with two separate printings by Kagemaru Himeno and Masakazu Fukuda, followed by Dragons Exalted from Kyoko Umemoto. Phantom Forces, Sun & Moon, and Evolving Skies each added new art, and White Flare printed a Common by Anesaki Dynamic alongside an illustration rare by Yuriko Akase.

Where the leaders come from is the first thing to know about Roggenrola card value: the most valuable Roggenrola card is the Illustration rare from White Flare in 2025, the newest card in the group. All 8 of the 8 Roggenrola cards carry a market value, and they span the years 2011 to 2025. The next three places go to Black & White era cards, which makes these most valuable Roggenrola cards a mix of eras with one clear leader.
The White Flare Illustration rare from 2025 leads Roggenrola card value by 23.2 times over the next card, a Common from Emerging Powers in 2011. An illustration rare is a modern rarity, while a Common is the basic printed rarity. The cards after those two are Commons from Dragons Exalted in 2012 and Phantom Forces in 2014, so every one of the most valuable Roggenrola cards after the leader is a Common.
Of the twenty-five leading cards, three come from Black & White, two from Scarlet & Violet, and one each from XY, Sun & Moon and Sword & Shield. The newest era's leader is the White Flare Illustration rare from 2025, which holds 1st place overall. Vintage here means the WOTC era, and modern is every later era. The top ten holds 8 modern cards and 0 vintage, and the top twenty-five splits the same way, 8 modern and 0 vintage.
Among the ten leading Roggenrola cards, the printed rarities are Common on 7 cards and Illustration rare on 1 card. Widening to the leading twenty-five changes nothing, with the same 7 Commons and 1 Illustration rare. No print types such as 1st Edition, Shadowless or Reverse Holo appear among these Roggenrola cards, so the ranking is built from Commons plus one Illustration rare.
By the value of its single leading card, Roggenrola ranks 754th of 1020 species with priced cards. In its evolution line, Gigalith ranks 613th of 1020 and Boldore 825th of 1020 by the same measure. Roggenrola's leading card therefore sits below Gigalith's and above Boldore's, and the species' card market rests on one standout, the White Flare Illustration rare, with Commons filling out the rest.
