Togekiss

Togekiss in myth and design

Togekiss is said to bring good luck by its mere existence and share blessings when it visits peaceful places, but it has never been witnessed near conflict, making sightings rare. Its design draws on doves for its white color and peaceful reputation, a snowy owl for its triangular belly markings, angels for its blessing-sharing nature, and the Japanese take on the Hōō, or Chinese phoenix, while its rigid triangular wings recall a flying wing aircraft.

Togekiss on the card

Its earliest card is the 2008 Great Encounters Rare Holo illustrated by Kent Kanetsuna, followed a year later by a Supreme Victors Uncommon illustrated by kawayoo. BREAKpoint added a Togekiss EX Ultra Rare by Eske Yoshinob, and the Sword & Shield era's Vivid Voltage brought a V, a VMAX, and Ultra Rare and Secret Rare alternates illustrated by PLANETA Mochizuki and 5ban Graphics. The Mega Evolution era's Ascended Heroes added a Rare by Narano and an illustration rare by satoma.
