Sandy Shocks is a seemingly metallic Pokémon made of three Magnemite-like units covered in iron filings, with markings resembling tribal war paint and horseshoe magnets that suggest hair. It walks by bending its magnet-like legs rather than floating, and does not evolve. Unlike Magneton's, its eyes blink independently of one another, and it is the only Paradox Pokémon that shares its exact weight with its apparent relative, and the only ancient Paradox Pokémon not to outweigh it.
Its tufts of iron filings may reference messy caveman-like hair, while its stilt-like legs and long tail may reference dinosaurs of the Diplodocidae family or electrical transmission towers.
In the anime, Sandy Shocks appeared in Area Zero, where Roy encountered and defeated it with his Crocalor. On cards, it debuted in Paradox Rift with a Sandy Shocks ex double rare and an Ultra Rare by PLANETA Mochizuki, plus a special illustration rare by Toshinao Aoki. Temporal Forces added an uncommon by DOM, and Prismatic Evolutions reprised PLANETA Mochizuki on a double rare alongside a special illustration rare by Tetsu Kayama.
