Iron Treads is a quadrupedal, gray metallic Pokémon with a black underbelly, short black tusks, and a pixelated half-moon screen on its face usually displaying angry red eyes. It does not evolve. It curls up and rolls like a wheel using the segmented tread jutting from its back, aided by retractable leg plating, and it is considered a counterpart of Great Tusk, with both Pokémon appearing to be relatives of Donphan and among the first non-Legendary Paradox Pokémon officially revealed.
Iron Treads is based on Donphan, and by extension possibly an elephant, along with spherical robots and tire treads; the way it curls its tread into a ring may reference monowheel vehicles.
Iron Treads's first card was a 5ban Graphics Iron Treads ex double rare in Scarlet and Violet, which also has a 5ban Graphics Ultra Rare and a special illustration rare by KEIICHIRO ITO. An SVP Black Star Promos Iron Treads ex by 5ban Graphics also exists. Paldean Fates added a double rare by toriyufu, and Temporal Forces an uncommon by Tonji Matsuno.
