Landorus is a Legendary Pokémon with no evolutionary family, appearing in two forms: the humanoid, genie-like Incarnate Forme and the lean, quadrupedal, feline Therian Forme, with reshaped horns and a mustache that wraps around its head like a fanged jaw. Its name may blend land with Aeolus, the Greek ruler of the winds. It is likely based on a deity of the land, possibly Inari Okami, the kami of fertility and agriculture, with some inspiration from djinn or the Greek wind gods called the Anemoi.
Landorus debuted in Stopping the Rage of Legends! Part 1, first appearing in a legend told to Ash and his friends before making a physical appearance in Part 2 to subdue Tornadus and Thundurus. It later appeared in both Formes in Unova's Survival Crisis!, summoned by Giovanni to rampage alongside Tornadus and Thundurus before being freed by Meloetta.
Landorus's first dated card was a 2011 Noble Victories Rare. It also has two BW Black Star Promos, and Boundaries Crossed introduced Landorus-EX in both an Ultra Rare and a Rare printing. Furious Fists, Unbroken Bonds, Fusion Strike and Lost Origin carried it through the XY, Sun & Moon and Sword & Shield eras, and in the Scarlet & Violet era Surging Sparks added a Rare while Black Bolt paired a Rare with an Illustration Rare by SIE NANAHARA. The Mega Evolution era's Perfect Order added a further Rare printing.

Landorus cards span 2011 to 2026, and every one of the 14 Landorus cards carries a market value. The most valuable Landorus card is the Common from BW Black Star Promos, 2011, which leads the ranking ahead of the Ultra Rare Landorus-EX from Boundaries Crossed. The ten leading cards hold 100 percent of the total value, so the whole Landorus card value picture is set by that group.
The 2011 BW Black Star Promos Landorus, printed as a Common, leads Landorus card value by 1.2 times over the next card, the Ultra Rare Landorus-EX from Boundaries Crossed, 2012. An illustration rare is a modern rarity type where the artwork extends across much of the card. The Boundaries Crossed Rare Landorus-EX sits fifth.
Among the twenty-five leading Landorus cards, Black & White supplies 6, Scarlet & Violet 3, Sword & Shield 2, and XY, Sun & Moon and Mega Evolution 1 each. The newest era's leader is the Perfect Order Landorus from 2026, in the Mega Evolution era, which places 10th overall. Vintage here means the WOTC era and modern is every later era. The top ten holds 10 modern cards, and the top twenty-five holds 14 modern cards.
Among the ten most valuable Landorus cards, 4 are Holo Rare, 3 are Rare, 1 is Common, 1 is Illustration rare and 1 is Ultra Rare. Across the leading twenty-five, the count is 7 Holo Rare, 4 Rare, 1 Common, 1 Illustration rare and 1 Ultra Rare. A holo is a card with a foil-patterned artwork box. The Landorus ranking mixes regular prints, holos, an Ultra Rare and an Illustration rare.
Ranked by the value of its single leading card, Landorus places 207th of 1020 among species with priced cards. By the combined value of its ten leaders it places 185th of 753. Landorus cards therefore sit in the middle of the field on both measures, and the market is built from a tight group of ten cards that carry all of the value, with the 2011 promo at the head.
