Lum Berry cures its holder of any Special Conditions before discarding itself. The Ruby and Sapphire and Emerald wordings triggered this at any time between turns, while the Sword and Shield wording moved the timing to the end of each turn, still curing all Special Conditions and discarding the card.
The card debuted in the EX era's Ruby and Sapphire with art by Kazuo Yazawa and was reprinted in Emerald, again credited to Yazawa. It returned in reworked form in the Sword and Shield era's own-named set with new art by Yoshinobu Saito. Our catalog lists 3 printings.
Lum Berry's effect is similar to the Miracle Berry card from Neo Genesis, reflecting how the Lum Berry's effect in the Generation III and IV games matches the MiracleBerry's effect in Generation II.
The Ruby & Sapphire printing is Lum Berry's first release
The Emerald printing is again illustrated by Kazuo Yazawa
The Sword & Shield printing introduced the end-of-turn wording with new artwork
Between turns under the original wording, or at the end of each turn under the Sword and Shield wording.
