As a child Turo became fixated on the Violet Book, the expedition journal of the explorer Heath. He later helped explore the crater, set up the Zero Lab in Area Zero, and built a time machine that sends Poké Balls to other eras and brings Paradox Pokémon back, Miraidon among them. His obsession with the work left his son Arven to grow up alone in his lighthouse lab.
Turo died after stepping between two Miraidon in a territorial fight, protecting the gentler one. The Professor Turo who contacts the player is an AI copy he had built to help his research, and it wants the project ended.
His Supporter card, Professor Turo's Scenario, first appeared in Paradox Rift (2023) as an Uncommon and an Ultra Rare illustrated by hncl, plus a Special illustration rare illustrated by Atsushi Furusawa. Prismatic Evolutions (2025) reprinted the Uncommon.
hncl illustrated three of the four printings, leaving Atsushi Furusawa's Special illustration rare as the one version by a different artist. Professor Sada's Vitality, the card for Turo's Pokémon Scarlet counterpart, debuted in the same Paradox Rift set and returned alongside it in Prismatic Evolutions.
The original Uncommon printing, illustrated by hncl.
The Ultra Rare version, also by hncl.
A Special illustration rare, illustrated by Atsushi Furusawa.
He is the researcher whose Area Zero time machine brought future Paradox Pokémon, including Miraidon, into the present.
No. The real Turo died before the game begins; the player deals with an AI copy of him.
Our catalog lists 4 Professor Turo's Scenario printings across 2 sets: Paradox Rift (2023) and Prismatic Evolutions (2025).
