Iono

Iono in Scarlet and Violet: Levincia's streaming Gym Leader

Iono leads the Levincia Gym in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet (2022), specializes in Electric types and awards the Electric Badge. The games write her as an influencer who runs the Iono Zone livestream, and her Gym Test is itself a broadcast: the player hunts around Levincia for Director Clavell, whom she has nicknamed Mr. Walksabout, while she streams. The stream keeps running through the Gym battle.

The persona shapes how other characters see her. Collaborations with Tulip can dent her self-esteem, Grusha liked her earlier content better before she leaned into clicks and sponsorships, and Iono has noticed that her viewer count jumps whenever she loses.

Iono's team: Bellibolt and a Terastallized Mismagius

In her Gym battle she uses Wattrel, Bellibolt, Luxio and Mismagius. The Pokémon she Terastallizes is Mismagius, a Ghost type given an Electric Tera Type. Bellibolt, which evolves from Tadbulb, is presented as her partner Pokémon in official merchandise, and it anchors her cards.

Iono on cards: two Supporter Special Illustration Rares, then her own Pokémon

Iono's Supporter card first appeared in Japan's Clay Burst and in English in Paldea Evolved on June 9, 2023, in three versions: an Uncommon (#185) and a full-art Ultra Rare (#254), both illustrated by Sanosuke Sakuma, and a Special Illustration Rare (#269) by kirisAki. The card sends both players' hands to the bottom of their decks and has each draw one card for every Prize card they have left. Paldean Fates (January 2024) reprinted it with a new Special Illustration Rare (#237, by hanabushi), and the Iono Premium Tournament Collection (April 2024) added a full-art promo, SVP 124.

Iono's Pokémon cards arrived with Journey Together (March 2025): Iono's Bellibolt ex as a Double Rare, an Ultra Rare, a Special Illustration Rare (#183) and a gold Hyper Rare, Iono's Kilowattrel with an Illustration Rare, plus Iono's Tadbulb, Wattrel, Voltorb and Electrode. Ascended Heroes (January 2026) added another Iono's Bellibolt ex Special Illustration Rare (#279) and an Illustration Rare of Iono's Wattrel.

How collectors approach Iono's cards

Iono has a Special Illustration Rare in each of her four main expansions: the Supporter in Paldea Evolved and Paldean Fates, and Iono's Bellibolt ex in Journey Together and Ascended Heroes. Each is by a different artist (kirisAki, hanabushi, Yuu Nishida and Akira Komayama), so her top-rarity cards read as four distinct takes on the character rather than one image reprinted.
