Ciphermaniac is known from a single Trainer card, Ciphermaniac's Codebreaking, rather than from a role in the video game story. The card's artwork shows the character carrying the Violet Book, the research volume on Area Zero from Pokémon Violet, and the card is classified as a Future card, the Trading Card Game label shared by Violet's futuristic Paradox Pokémon.
In Japan the card first appeared in the Cyber Judge expansion before Temporal Forces brought it to English.
The card lets a player search the deck for 2 cards, shuffle, and then place those 2 cards on top of the deck in any order. That exact effect has been printed before: Oracle in Skyridge and Mallow in Guardians Rising do the same thing, and the only real difference is the Future label on Ciphermaniac's version.
Temporal Forces (2024) printed the card as a regular Uncommon and a Full Art Ultra Rare, and Prismatic Evolutions (2025) reprinted the regular version. Taira Akitsu drew all three.

The character pictured on the Supporter card Ciphermaniac's Codebreaking, shown carrying the Violet Book from Pokémon Violet. The character is known from that card rather than from a story role in the games.
It searches the deck for 2 cards and puts them on top of the deck in any order after shuffling, the same effect as Oracle (Skyridge) and Mallow (Guardians Rising).
Our catalog lists 3 Ciphermaniac's Codebreaking printings across 2 sets: Temporal Forces (2024) and Prismatic Evolutions (2025).
