Brassius runs the Artazon Gym in Paldea, specializes in Grass types and treats battles as an art form. As at every Paldean Gym, the building is only for registration: the Gym Test, Sunflora Hide-and-Seek, sends challengers around town to find ten hidden Sunflora, some of which battle once found. His team is a level 16 Petilil and Smoliv and a level 17 Sudowoodo, a Rock type he Terastallizes into a Grass Tera Type at the first chance. Beating him earns the Grass Badge and TM020 (Trailblaze).
His best known work, the Surrendering Sunflora statues spread around Artazon, dates from a time when he was seriously ill and ready to give up art; his close friend Hassel, the art teacher at the academy in Mesagoza, encouraged him to begin it. In Pokémon Horizons: The Series he debuts in Nemona and Brassius and…, stuck in an artist's block after an encounter with the Black Rayquaza, and later runs Roy's Tera Training test during the Artazon Art Festival.
