Toxel is a small, purple, lizard-like baby Pokémon with a lightning-bolt protrusion on its forehead and a diaper-like lower half. It can drink dirty water and filter it into a poison harmless to itself. It evolves into Toxtricity at level 30. Toxel is the first baby Pokémon introduced since Generation IV and the only one introduced alone in its generation.
Mints do not affect which form Toxel will evolve into, since they only change the effect of a Toxel's nature rather than the nature itself. A nature that lowers Attack always produces Low-Key Form Toxtricity, while one lowering Special Defense always produces Amped Form.
Toxel's Rebel Clash printing arrived in 2020 as a Common, continuing through Darkness Ablaze, Shining Fates Shiny Vault, and two Fusion Strike Commons. It carried into the Scarlet & Violet era with Scarlet & Violet, Obsidian Flames, Paradox Rift and a Paldean Fates Shiny rare, before the Mega Evolution era's Phantasmal Flames.
