Thwackey is a bipedal monkey Pokémon with light-green fur, dark brown ears and tail, and the single stick Grookey carries now split into two. It uses the sticks to hold up a tuft of head leaves and to create rhythmic drumbeats, and the faster its rhythm, the more respect it earns from its peers, sometimes to the point of ignoring its Trainer's commands mid-battle. Thwackey evolves from Grookey at level 16 and into Rillaboom at level 35.
Multiple Thwackey appeared in A One-Stick Wonder!, including one with only a single stick that could not drum as well as the others until Ash and Goh helped it.
Thwackey's card run opens with two Sword & Shield Uncommons illustrated by Megumi Mizutani and Akira Komayama, followed by a Shining Fates Uncommon by 0313 and a Shiny rare in that set's Shiny Vault illustrated by tetsuya koizumi. Chilling Reign added an Uncommon by Kouki Saitou. The Scarlet & Violet era brought an SVP Black Star Promo illustrated by Uninori and a Twilight Masquerade Common illustrated by GOSSAN.

Thwackey cards span 2020 to 2024, and every one of the 7 Thwackey cards carries a market value. The most valuable Thwackey card is the promo from SVP Black Star Promos in 2023, which leads the Thwackey card value ranking ahead of a Shiny rare from Shining Fates Shiny Vault. No share figure for the ten leaders applies here, since the whole species fits inside seven cards.
The SVP Black Star Promos Thwackey from 2023 is a promo card, and it sits 3.9 times ahead of the next card. That runner-up is the Shiny rare from Shining Fates Shiny Vault in 2021. Third is the Twilight Masquerade Thwackey from 2024, a common. Fourth and fifth are uncommons, one from Chilling Reign in 2021 and one from the Sword & Shield base set in 2020. Among the most valuable Thwackey cards, then, the leader is a promo and the next four span a Shiny rare, a common and two uncommons.
The newest era's leader is also the top card overall: the 2023 Thwackey from SVP Black Star Promos, 1st in rank, and it is one of 2 Scarlet & Violet cards among Thwackey's seven. The other 5 come from Sword & Shield. All seven are modern, with none from the WOTC era that vintage means here, so the top ten and the top twenty-five are the same modern group of 7 cards. The 2020 to 2021 Sword & Shield sets and Twilight Masquerade in 2024 round out the Thwackey cards.
Among the ten leading Thwackey cards, which is every card the species has, 4 are Uncommon, 1 is Common, 1 is Promo and 1 is Shiny rare. That is the full spread of printed rarities for Thwackey cards. Widening to the top twenty-five changes nothing, since the counts are identical.
Judged by the value of its single leading card, Thwackey ranks 682nd of 1020 species with priced cards. In its evolution line, Grookey ranks 407th of 1020 and Rillaboom 668th of 1020 on the same measure. Thwackey's card market is a small one, with 7 cards and a single leading promo well clear of the rest, while Grookey's top card sits higher among its peers.
