Terrakion

Terrakion's origin

Terrakion is based on Porthos from the novel The Three Musketeers, sharing his status as the heaviest, largest, and strongest of the trio, with traits of bighorn sheep and oxen and the charging behavior of bulls. It was designed by Takao Unno, along with fellow trio members Cobalion and Virizion.

Terrakion in the anime

Terrakion appeared in the film Kyurem VS. The Sword of Justice, alongside Cobalion, Virizion, Kyurem, and Keldeo, all of whom communicate through telepathy.

Terrakion on cardboard

Terrakion's first expansion card is the 2011 Emerging Powers Rare by 5ban Graphics. The same studio drew six of its eight Black and White era printings, among them a BW Black Star Promo, Rare and Ultra Rare versions in Noble Victories and a Boundaries Crossed Secret Rare.

Dragons Exalted introduced Terrakion-EX in both an Ultra Rare by 5ban Graphics and a Rare by Eske Yoshinob. The 2025 White Flare set added a Rare by Tonji Matsuno and an Illustration rare by Shiburingaru.
