Stantler can only evolve into Wyrdeer in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, by using an agile style move 20 times. Its antlers, each with a black orb resembling an eye, can distort reality and create illusions by subtly shifting airflow, leaving onlookers dizzy or unable to stand.
Stantler debuted in The Little Big Horn, where Brock helped a fawn Stantler that had created an illusion of a stampeding herd reunite with its actual herd. In Different Strokes for Different Blokes, wild Stantler in Bewilder Forest used Hypnosis on travelers, and Paul briefly caught then released one. Santa Claus even used a team of Stantler to pull his sleigh in Stantler's Little Helpers.
Stantler's first card came in Neo Genesis as a Common illustrated by Ken Sugimori, followed by Neo Revelation and Skyridge. Unseen Forces and POP Series 7 carried it through the EX era and Secret Wonders and Unleashed followed, then BREAKpoint and Lost Thunder kept it going through XY and Sun and Moon. Fusion Strike and Astral Radiance brought it into the Sword and Shield era.
