Skwovet is a Generation 8 Normal type based on the Eastern gray squirrel, an invasive species in Great Britain, with a Shiny coloration that may reference the Eurasian red squirrel, endangered in the United Kingdom, Italy, and Ireland. Its special cheeks can stretch to many times their normal volume, letting it stuff a tremendous amount of food such as berries, and if full it can temporarily store extra food in its tail fur. If its cheeks are ever completely empty it becomes very uneasy, and may stuff them with pebbles if it cannot find berries nearby. Skwovet often appears on farms looking for more berries to eat, and its habit of constant eating has made it more resilient than it looks. It evolves into Greedent at level 24.
