An Orthworm appeared in Tinkatink's Ideal Hammer, causing trouble aboard the Brave Olivine before being defeated by Dot with the help of Quaxly and Tinkatink.

Orthworm's earliest card was a Rare in Paldea Evolved illustrated by Hitoshi Ariga, alongside an Illustration Rare by OKACHEKE in the same set. Paradox Rift added an Uncommon printing, and Stellar Crown introduced both a Double Rare and an Ultra Rare Orthworm ex.
