Naclstack attacks by pressing rock salt inside its body into hardened pellets and shooting them out with force, its glowing orange-red eyes shaped like right angles and its legs floating in place relative to its trunk. It is based on rock salt crystals and sedimentary bedrock, with possible design ties to ancient Iberian sculptures like the Bicha of Balazote, and its front body composition appears inspired by voxel artwork.
Due to a duplicated entry in the spawner data of Scarlet and Violet, Naclstack effectively has twice its programmed spawn weight, making it more common than intended. It is also the only Pokémon whose Japanese name contains the uncommon yotsugana du or zu.
Naclstack debuted as an Uncommon in Paldea Evolved illustrated by GIDORA, followed by a Common in Paradox Rift. Paldean Fates added a Shiny rare, and the Mega Evolution set introduced a further Common printing in 2025.
