Meloetta

Meloetta in the anime

Meloetta appeared in An Epic Defense Force!, began following Ash and his friends in All for the Love of Meloetta!, and formally revealed itself to the group in Piplup, Pansage, and a Meeting of the Times!. It stayed with them for much of their time in Undella Town, during which Team Rocket targeted it for Operation Tempest due to its connection to the Abyssal Ruins and the Reveal Glass.

Meloetta on the card

Meloetta is thought to be based on a muse from Greek mythology, its headpiece styled as a treble clef doubling as a headset microphone and its hands and arms shaped like musical notes. Its first set card is the 2012 Boundaries Crossed Rare by 5ban Graphics. Naoki Saito and Shin Nagasawa drew its BW Black Star promos. Legendary Treasures later added a Meloetta-EX in both Rare and Ultra Rare forms, and Black Bolt gave the Mythical a Meloetta ex line across Double Rare, Ultra Rare, and Special Illustration Rare treatments.
