Mabosstiff

Mabosstiff's design

Mabosstiff draws on mastiff breeds, the Spanish Mastiff in particular given Paldea's Iberian roots, while its dark coat and mob-boss theme may borrow from the Italian Cane Corso. Its name blends mafia, mob, boss, and mastiff.

Mabosstiff on cards

Mabosstiff's first cards were an Uncommon and an illustration rare in Scarlet & Violet illustrated by KIYOTAKA OSHIYAMA and OKACHEKE. PLANETA Mochizuki drew an SVP Black Star promo Mabosstiff ex. Paldean Fates added a rare and a shiny rare, and Destined Rivals later introduced Arven's Mabosstiff ex across double rare, ultra rare, and special illustration rare printings, with the Mega Evolution era adding a Common in Pitch Black.
