Dartrix is an owl-like Pokémon with a white, heart-shaped facial disc and dark brown feathers over its head, shoulders, and back, along with green leaves framing its face and two sharp blade quills hidden within the leafy plumage under its wings, which it throws like darts. It evolves from Rowlet at level 17 and into Decidueye at level 34, or into Hisuian Decidueye in Hisui. It is the only evolved first partner whose secondary type changes at the final stage, where Flying gives way to Ghost or Fighting; the line is also the only Grass type first partner family not colored green in the Pokédex, appearing brown instead.
Dartrix debuted in No Stone Unturned! under Hau's ownership, defeating Ash's Rowlet before a rematch the next day where it was knocked out by Bloom Doom. It evolved into a Decidueye prior to League Offenders and Defenders!.
Dartrix is based on an owl, most closely resembling the common barn owl introduced to Hawaii, the region behind Alola, with its Grass typing possibly nodding to grass owls or the local pueo owl known for flying over grassy areas. Its Sun & Moon debut as an Uncommon illustrated by Mizue was followed by Hidden Fates' Shiny rare by Shigenori Negishi, echoed later by Shining Fates' own Shiny rare from Masakazu Fukuda. Darkness Ablaze, Astral Radiance, Obsidian Flames, Shrouded Fable, and the Mega Evolution era's Perfect Order each added further printings.

Ranked by each card’s main print in near-mint raw condition. 1st Edition, Shadowless and other versions are priced on each card’s page. The table updates live.
The value across Dartrix cards is spread thinly, with the leading card only 1.2 times ahead of the next. The most valuable Dartrix card is the Shiny rare from Shining Fates Shiny Vault in 2021, followed by the Hidden Fates Shiny Vault Shiny rare from 2019. All 10 Dartrix cards carry a market value, and they span the years 2017 to 2026, so the ten leaders make up the species' whole card list.
Dartrix card value starts with two Shiny rares: Shining Fates Shiny Vault from 2021 leads, and Hidden Fates Shiny Vault from 2019 sits second, so the gap between them is small at 1.2 times. Third is the Uncommon from Cosmic Eclipse in 2019, with the Uncommon from the original Sun & Moon set in 2017 fourth. Fifth is the Uncommon from Obsidian Flames in 2023. After the two Shiny Vault cards, the leaders are ordinary Uncommon prints from standard sets.
The most valuable Dartrix cards come from four eras. Of the 25 leading cards, Sword & Shield holds 4, Sun & Moon 3, Scarlet & Violet 2 and Mega Evolution 1. The newest era's leader is the Common from Perfect Order in 2026, placed 7th overall. All of the leaders are modern: 10 of 10 in the top ten and 10 of 10 in the top twenty-five, where vintage means the WOTC era and modern is every later era.
Among the ten most valuable Dartrix cards, 6 are Uncommon, 2 are Common and 2 are Shiny rare. The top twenty-five shows the same counts. The two Shiny rares are the Shiny Vault cards from Shining Fates and Hidden Fates. The rest are Uncommon and Common prints from standard sets.
Dartrix ranks 892nd of 1020 species with priced cards by the value of its single leading card, and 721st of 753 by the combined value of its ten leaders. Within its evolution line, Rowlet's leading card ranks 188th of 1020 and Decidueye's 386th. That places Dartrix well below both of its relatives, and its card market rests on a small spread of Shiny Vault and standard-set prints rather than on one dominant card.
