Cubchoo in the anime

Multiple Cubchoo debuted in The Beartic Mountain Feud!, where Ash, his friends, and Meowth found an injured member of the group and returned it to its companions. In The Mystery of the Missing Cubchoo!, Chris's Cubchoo went missing and was later found in the company of a wild Larvitar it had befriended.

Cubchoo's cards across the eras

Cubchoo's first cards were a pair of 2011 Emerging Powers Commons illustrated by sui and Kanako Eo, followed by a Next Destinies Common from Atsuko Nishida. Later illustrators include kirisAki on Furious Fists, Saya Tsuruta on Darkness Ablaze, and a 2025 Black Bolt release pairing a Common by OOYAMA with an Illustration Rare by osare.
