Buneary

Buneary's unusual traits

Prior to Generation IX, Buneary was the only non-Legendary, non-Mythical, non-Ultra Beast, non-Paradox Pokémon with a base friendship of 0, a trait it now shares with Lokix. Buneary is also one of only three Pokémon, alongside Type: Null and Snom, that evolve through friendship despite a base friendship lower than 70.

Buneary shares its category with Scorbunny and Raboot, all three known as the Rabbit Pokémon, and it appears to be based on a rabbit, with its cream-colored lower fluff resembling a skirt and its rolled ear suggesting a fashionable hat.

Buneary across the TCG

Buneary's first set card was a 2007 Diamond & Pearl Common illustrated by Ken Sugimori, and Kagemaru Himeno drew its POP Series 6 card. Further Commons followed in POP Series 9, Majestic Dawn, Legends Awakened and Arceus.

More recent Commons came in Fusion Strike, Silver Tempest, Prismatic Evolutions and the Mega Evolution era's Mega Evolution and Phantasmal Flames sets.
