Amaura is a Rock and Ice type revived from the Sail Fossil, one of two fossil Pokémon introduced in Pokémon X and Y (2013). In those games the player picks either the Sail Fossil or Tyrunt's Jaw Fossil in Glittering Cave and has the fossil revived at the Ambrette Town Fossil Lab, so getting the other one takes a trade. Amaura evolves into Aurorus at level 39, but only if the level-up happens at night.
Its ability, Refrigerate, turns its Normal-type moves into Ice-type moves and powers them up, and its hidden ability, Snow Warning, summons hail (snow in newer games) when it enters battle. It stands 1.3 meters tall and weighs 25.2 kilograms.
Amaura's first card came in Furious Fists in 2014, the year after its game debut, illustrated by 5ban Graphics. Atsuko Nishida drew the next one for Forbidden Light in 2018, and Hitoshi Ariga drew its most recent card, in Perfect Order in 2026. That is the whole list in our catalog: 3 cards across 3 sets, two Uncommons and one Common, with no rare or special illustration rare printing so far.
Amaura has never been printed as a Basic Pokémon; every version comes out of a fossil card. In Furious Fists it is a Restored Pokémon tied to the set's Sail Fossil Trainer card. Forbidden Light prints it as a Stage 1 that evolves from Unidentified Fossil, and Perfect Order as a Stage 1 from Antique Sail Fossil, a Trainer card in the same set. All three sets also printed Aurorus for it to evolve into, and Perfect Order added an illustration rare Aurorus beside the regular one.

Not from one game alone. X and Y make you choose between the Sail Fossil (Amaura) and the Jaw Fossil (Tyrunt) in Glittering Cave, so the other has to come by trade.
