Super Scoop Up is a coin-flip effect that, on heads, lets a player pick up one of their own Pokémon along with everything attached to it, useful for saving a damaged or otherwise compromised Pokémon. The two wordings describe the same action, just changing 'return' to 'put' when Black and White reclassified the card as an Item.
Super Scoop Up first appeared in the Japanese-exclusive Intro Pack, entering English print in Neo Genesis with art by Keiji Kinebuchi. Shizurow illustrated the Diamond and Pearl era prints, and Toyste Beach the Sun and Moon era prints including a Secret Rare in Burning Shadows. Keiji Kinebuchi returned to illustrate the Celestial Storm printing. It was also printed in Expedition Base Set, FireRed and LeafGreen, Delta Species, Black and White, and Furious Fists. In Japan it was also reprinted in the Pokémon VS expansion, and an English version appeared in the Tyranitar Half Deck.
Super Scoop Up was reclassified in Japan as an Item card during the LEGEND Era, though English prints didn't adopt the Item designation until Black and White in 2011. The card's Japanese Intro Pack origins trace back to before the Neo Genesis expansion, and its later Diamond and Pearl era prints, illustrated by Shizurow, originated from Japanese Half Deck products before appearing in Majestic Dawn in English.
