Nest Ball offers a guaranteed, no-cost search for any Basic Pokémon straight onto the Bench, without discarding cards or flipping coins. Its single wording has remained unchanged across every printing since its debut.
Nest Ball first appeared in Sun and Moon in 2017 with art by Toyste Beach, who has illustrated every printing of the card, including a Secret Rare treatment in that same set. It later reappeared in Scarlet and Violet with both an Uncommon and Hyper rare version, and again in Paldean Fates, giving it five printings across two set eras.
This card's effect is identical to that of the Stormfront version of Great Ball. The Nest Ball is a type of Poké Ball introduced in Generation III that works better on weaker Pokémon. All five of its printings are illustrated by Toyste Beach. Its regular printings are Uncommon in Sun and Moon, Scarlet and Violet and Paldean Fates, paired with a Secret Rare in Sun and Moon and a Hyper rare in Scarlet and Violet. Six years passed between its Sun and Moon and Scarlet and Violet printings, with no Sword and Shield era release in between. Its text puts the Pokémon directly onto the Bench rather than into the hand.
