Shauna is one of the player's friends in Pokémon X and Y, in a group with Tierno, Trevor and the player's neighbor, Calem or Serena. In Aquacorde Town, Tierno hands out first partner Pokémon on Professor Sycamore's behalf; Shauna takes the one weak to the player's choice and battles them on the spot. She is energetic and curious about how her friends are doing, but unlike the others she has no clear goal of her own.
She battles the player again on Route 19, and after the player becomes Champion she offers to trade the unevolved form of her first partner for any of their Pokémon, making her the first rival to offer the player a trade. In Pokémon the Series: XY she is a Pokémon Performer and one of Serena's rivals.
Shauna's Supporter debuted in the XY base set (February 2014) with art based on Ken Sugimori's official artwork. It shuffles your hand into your deck and draws five cards, the same effect as Professor Oak's Research from 2002. The same art returned in Phantom Forces (2014), Generations (2016) and Fates Collide (2016).
Fusion Strike (2021) gave her a new illustration by Yuu Nishida, printed as an Uncommon, a full art Ultra Rare and a rainbow Secret Rare numbered 278, above the set's 264-card total.
Shauna's printings use only two illustrators: art based on Ken Sugimori's official artwork on the five XY-era prints, and Yuu Nishida's on the three from Fusion Strike. The rainbow Secret Rare from Fusion Strike is her highest-rarity printing.

Ranked by each card’s main print in near-mint raw condition. 1st Edition, Shadowless and other versions are priced on each card’s page. The table updates live.
The most valuable Shauna card is the Secret Rare from Fusion Strike, released in 2021. Of Shauna's 8 cards, 7 carry a market value, and those priced cards span 2014 to 2021. Shauna card value is led by the Fusion Strike prints, with the older XY-era Uncommons filling out the rest of the ranking, so the 2021 Secret Rare sets the top of the range for Shauna cards.
The Fusion Strike Secret Rare from 2021 leads Shauna card value by 1.6 times over the next card, the Ultra Rare from the same set. The Fusion Strike Uncommon takes 3rd, so the set holds the top three places. Behind it come Uncommons from Phantom Forces in 2014, the base XY set in 2014 and Generations in 2016, all plain Uncommon printings of the Trainer.
All seven priced Shauna cards are modern, meaning they come from eras after the WOTC era, and none is vintage. Four come from the XY era and three from Sword & Shield. The newest era's leader, the Fusion Strike Secret Rare from 2021, is also first overall. The split is the same in the leading ten and the leading twenty-five: 7 modern and 0 vintage.
Among the most valuable Shauna cards, five are Uncommons, one is a Secret Rare and one is an Ultra Rare. The count is identical across the leading twenty-five, since only seven Shauna cards carry a market value. The higher rarities, the Secret Rare and the Ultra Rare, both come from Fusion Strike, while the Uncommons run across XY-era sets and Fusion Strike.
Measured by the value of its single leading card, Shauna ranks 92nd of 110 characters with priced cards. For Shauna cards, that places the market in the lower part of the Trainer field, with one Fusion Strike Secret Rare setting the top of the range and a run of Uncommons beneath it.
