Serena is the female player character in Pokémon X and Y, with Calem as her male counterpart. Choose Calem and she becomes the main rival: the neighbor in Vaniville Town who picks the first partner Pokémon (Chespin, Fennekin or Froakie) with a type advantage over yours. She shows the player and Shauna how to catch a Pokémon, battles for the Mega Ring at the Tower of Mastery in Shalour City, helps fight Team Flare at Glittering Cave and the Poké Ball Factory, and waits on Victory Road for one last battle. After the Hall of Fame she can be battled daily in Kiloude City, and the first win there earns an Absolite.
The anime's Serena is a separate character who travels with Ash through Kalos. She met him years earlier at Professor Oak's Pokémon Summer Camp, starts her journey with a Fennekin from Professor Sycamore, and competes in Pokémon Showcases with the goal of becoming Kalos Queen.
Her Supporter debuted in Japan's Incandescent Arcana and reached English in Silver Tempest (2022). It offers a choice: discard up to three cards and draw until you hold five, or switch one of your opponent's Benched Pokémon V into the Active Spot. Silver Tempest printed it as an Uncommon by Ken Sugimori (#164), a full-art Ultra Rare by Megumi Mizutani (#193) and a Secret Rare rainbow version of that art (#207).

Serena cards are a small group, all from a single set and year: Silver Tempest, 2022. All 3 of the 3 Serena cards carry a market value. The most valuable Serena card is the Secret Rare from Silver Tempest, ahead of an Ultra Rare and an Uncommon from the same set. With every priced card coming from Sword & Shield, Serena card value is set within one release.
The Secret Rare from Silver Tempest in 2022 leads the most valuable Serena cards, about 1.2 times ahead of the next card, the Ultra Rare from the same set and year. Third is the Silver Tempest Uncommon, also from 2022. A Secret Rare is a card numbered beyond the printed set total, an Ultra Rare is a higher tier above the standard rares, and an Uncommon is a standard-tier card. All three Serena cards share the Sword & Shield era.
Ranked by the value of its single leading card, Serena sits 60th of 110 among characters with priced cards, which places the Silver Tempest Secret Rare in the middle of that field. With only three cards and the top two separated by 1.2 times, the Serena card market rests on one set from 2022 rather than on a spread across eras.
