Jasmine runs the Olivine Gym in Johto and awards the Mineral Badge, specializing in Steel type Pokémon, a type that was brand new in Gold and Silver. When the player first meets her she refuses to battle: she is at the Olivine Lighthouse nursing Amphy, the ailing Ampharos that lights it, and asks for medicine from the pharmacy in Cianwood City. Once the player brings it and Amphy recovers, she returns to her Gym. A Gentleman in the lighthouse mentions that she used to train Rock types such as Onix.
In Gold, Silver and Crystal, and again in HeartGold and SoulSilver, she opens with two Magnemite and saves a level 35 Steelix for last; beating her also earns TM23, Iron Tail. She turns up in Sinnoh too, staying in Sunyshore City in Diamond, Pearl and Platinum, where she hands the player Waterfall and enters Super Contests with a Steelix nicknamed Rusty.
The anime keeps the games' Olivine story. In Fight for the Light!, Jasmine's Ampharos, Sparkle, is too sick for her to accept challenges, and her apprentice Janina travels with Ash's group to fetch medicine from Cianwood City. The Gym battle finally comes in Nerves of Steelix!: Pikachu beats her Magnemite but falls to Steelix, and Cyndaquil wins the last round by turning Steelix's Sandstorm into a fiery whirlwind with Flamethrower, earning Ash his sixth Badge. She returns in Pokémon the Series: Diamond and Pearl at Sunyshore City, studying Contest Battles, and loses a battle to Elite Four member Flint.
Her English Supporter run opens in Team Up (January 31, 2019) with an Uncommon (#145) illustrated by Ken Sugimori and an Ultra Rare full art version (#177) illustrated by Hideki Ishikawa; that card searches the deck for a Metal Pokémon. Jasmine's Gaze followed almost six years later in Surging Sparks (November 8, 2024) as an Uncommon (#178) and an Ultra Rare (#233), both illustrated by Taira Akitsu, plus a Special Illustration Rare (#245) with separate artwork by Fujimoto Gold. It cuts the damage all of the player's Pokémon take during the opponent's next turn.
She also appears beside her Pokémon on two English Pokémon cards: the Cosmic Eclipse Steelix (#247), numbered above the set total, and the Astral Radiance Trainer Gallery Bronzong (TG11).
The two Supporters split neatly by era: the Team Up pair from 2019 and the Surging Sparks trio from 2024, each built on an Uncommon plus an Ultra Rare full art. Surging Sparks adds a third tier with the Special Illustration Rare, so her 2024 card has the wider rarity spread. Collectors who want her pictured with her team rather than on a Supporter look to the Cosmic Eclipse Steelix and the Trainer Gallery Bronzong.

Not in English. Japan's Pokémon VS set printed six, including Jasmine's Steelix and Jasmine's Ampharos, but they never came out in English.
